Hardship Cases
Unique hardship cases eligible for continuation of Fund benefits that fit the
following criteria are:
- No paid leave is available to member.
- No other full-time employment is permitted.
- No other parallel benefit coverage is available.
- Member intends to return to the system.
- Limited to one year of coverage from date of authorization.
- Maternity leaves, study leaves, special leaves without pay, etc., are
specifically excluded.
- Each such case must be presented to the Board of Trustees.
